Clam Diggers in Bedford Opens Pub
Clam Diggers in Bedford Opens Pub

On Tuesday, August 3rd, the Bedford Area Chamber was pleased to assist Hal and Tina Gurley with a ribbon cutting ceremony, publicly announcing the opening of Clam Diggers' new pub.  The Pub has been fashioned in the rear section of Clam Diggers and features many specialty beers and wines, in addition to other favorites.

Hal had this to say, “When we decided to open a pub, we weren't sure that Bedford would support it, but we have been so pleased with the town's reception.  We're getting fantastic customers who are well-behaved and now even families are coming in to eat."

Mayor "Skip" Tharp, City Manager Charlie Kolakowski, and Chamber President Susan Martin were in attendance; each made welcoming remarks and gave their best wishes for the success of the new addition to Clam Diggers.  Chamber Ambassador Phil Waugh (Max International) was also in attendance.

A large number of Chamber members and Bedford citizenry were on hand for the occasion, and enjoyed a complimentary buffet sampling of Clam Diggers' shrimp, crab dip, tuna salad, olive salad and fresh fruits.  Plates piled high with fresh steamed clams were plentiful.  Based on comments by those enjoying the feast, it would appear that Clam Diggers just gained a lot of new customers.  And if they come on Tuesday evenings, they'll hear some great live music!

Clam Diggers is located at 109 South Bridge Street in Bedford.  You can reach them at 540-587-6727.  Plenty of parking is available, on the street and in the rear of the building.  Stop by!  Enjoy!

Cheers!
