309 Winery Open House & Ribbon Cutting Ambassador Bill Moss ![]() The long-awaited 309 Winery was officially opened on Wednesday, May 4th, with an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony offered in partnership by the Bedford Area Chamber and Smith Mountain Lake Chamber. Located at 309 Bridge Street (an obvious choice for the business name) in Bedford City, 309 Winery is the fulfillment of Owner Operator Peggy Overstreet's dream. The beautiful old white building located next to the Bower Center (and formerly operated at The Medicine Shoppe) provides a charming venue for this new business. and Opening will take place on May 6th with live music, mree tastings of wine & craft beers as well as door prizes.
